Life Support Awards

The RLSS has two life support awards: Life Support and Life Support 3. There is a brief summary of the awards below and more information may be found by clicking on the name of the award below, if it is underlined.

Life Support – This award develops basic life support and first aid skills and knowledge of the candidate. They are taught how to deal with unconscious casualties, how to do adult CPR and treat casualties who are choking and bleeding, as well as other skills. This award can be done as a standalone award or as part of the Bronze Medallion.

Life Support 3 – This is the highest life support award from the RLSS. It covers everything in Life Support as well as expanding the candidates first aid knowledge, and CPR and choking skills to cover children and babies. This award can be taken as a standalone award or as part of the Bronze Medallion.
