The rules, the date and the location for the National Lifesaving Championships (NLSC) have been published!
Last year, a large number of competitors from around the West Region took part in the NLSC with many coming away with medals and excellent results. This year we hope that more people will get involved!
Many Branches will be holding local competitions to make sure all competitors are happy with the events and get to try them before the Regional heat. At the Regional Competition, to be hosted in Somerset Branch, the top competitors in each category will make their way to the National Final at Ponds Forge, Sheffield on Saturday 15th December.
Each region is allowed to enter one pair/individual in each category with additional places awarded to regions where a competitor in last years competition placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in that category. This year the following additional places are available to the West Region – Masters Ladies 30-39 years and Masters Mens 60+ years. So the top 2 individuals from these categories at the regional competition go through to the National Finals!
If you’re interested in competing or helping or knowing more, get in touch with your Branch Competitions Secretary or Hon. Secretary by using the following links: Avon and North Wiltshire Branch, Gloucestershire Branch or Somerset Branch.
