The competition will consist of:
- An aquatic initiative test
- A life support initiative test
- A line throw
- A swim and tow
Entries are invited in the following ages (ages as at 31 December 2011):
Junior Girls – pairs aged 12-14 years
Junior Boys – pairs aged 12-14 years
Senior Girls – pairs aged 15-17 years
Senior Boys – pairs aged 15-17 years
Ladies – individuals aged 16 years and over
Mens – individuals aged 16 years and over
Masters Ladies – individuals aged 30 years and over in 10 year age groups
Masters Mens – individuals aged 30 years and over in 10 year age groups
Entry fee per person: £7.50 (cheque payable to RLSS Somerset Branch)
All competitors must be in current RLSS UK Youth, Individual or TA Membership. Further information from:

Those finishing in the top four in each of the Championships will be invited to represent Somerset Branch in the Regional Championships (Avon and N Wilts, Gloucestershire and Somerset) which will take place on Saturday 17 September in Frome.
Those finishing first (or second in the Individual Mens, Masters Ladies 30-39 years or Masters Mens 60-69 years) at the Regional Championships will be invited to the National Lifesaving Championships on Saturday 19 November in Sheffield.
